They see a cute dog or puppy that is free and take it home only to find out they really don’t want the dog. Then the dog is back where he started-homeless.

They base their work on the four R’s- Rescue, Reunite, Rehabilitate and Rehome. They rescue homeless dogs and, try to find their owners and reunite them if possible. If not possible, they rehabilitate them by training them and providing proper medical attention. Then they attempt to find them a good home.
Originally, this organization was called the Battersea Dogs home and was just for dogs. The name now has been changed to Battersea Dogs and Cats home.
