Bark Collars
When we think of certain animals, we associate them with the sound they make. A cow is supposed to moo, a cat will meow and a dog is supposed to bark. The problem with some dogs is that they don’t know when to stop barking. Perhaps, you have a dog like this or know someone that does. If you live in an isolated area out in the country, the needless, nonstop barking may not be an issue. However, if you have neighbors, it could mean problems. There are a few different ways to correct this problem. The most effective, it appears to many, is the use of anti bark collars.
Bark control collars are used more often then they used to be used. The dog wears the bark collar most of the time but not more than 12 consecutive hours. The dog bark collar has a sensor inside the control box that senses sound and vibration and the combination of both of these will trigger it off. It will send a little shock to the dog’s throat. The vibration in the dog’s throat- a vibration brought on only by barking controls it. It starts as a small shock and increases in intensity with each bark from the dog until the dog stops barking.
The Sonic bark control collar is similar except the results of barking are different. This particular no bark dog collar makes a loud screeching sound each time the dog barks. The intent is to frighten the dog enough so he stops barking. Many users enjoy this anti bark collar because it doesn’t cause the pain they feel some of them do. In addition, it is a very lightweight no bark collar. You can also get a small dog bark collar in the size your dog needs. The sensor adjusts itself for the softer bark of a small dog.
Some of the bark collars for dogs use a bark training collar remote control to train the dog. Each time the dog barks, the owner touches the remote control, which triggers a shock to the dog. The intensity of the shock is controllable by the user.
It is important to remember to take off bark collars when you are about to play with the dog so the dog doesn’t get a shock when he shouldn’t. No bark collars have been very effective in many dogs. If your dog has been wearing a bark stopping collar and still is attempting to bark, discontinue use for a few days to avoid damage to the dog.
