Dogs

Dogs, known as man’s best friend, are one of the most treasured animals in the world. Whereas, they were once almost a wild animal, they are now a domestic animal living their life as a member of our family. When we own a dog, whether we get them as a puppy or a full-grown dog, they become a friend for life. With the right amount of caring and love, they become faithful, loyal and loving companions that will lay down their own lives for us.

Many people looking to own a dog will check for “dogs for sale” in newspapers or online. Or if they are not interested in an older dog, they will look for “puppies for sale”. There is a misconception that if dogs are free dogs, there must be something wrong with them. Dogs, especially older ones, are often the recipient of animal abuse and need a good loving home. Perhaps the owner’s move and can’t take their family dog with, so they need to find a good home for him or her.

There are many good reasons why an older dog would be free. In many larger cities, dogs are left to run wild. The dogs are picked up by city officials, and sent to the dog shelter to try to find them a home. This can be prevented if owners keep dog tags on their dog with their name and address on the tag.

The same is true for puppies. Many times, they are the result of accidental dog mating and you can get real cute puppies that will grow up to be wonderful members of the family. Once your home becomes the puppy’s home, you will have your hands full with this mischievous little creature. The rewards, however, are endless. It won’t matter if your puppy is a white dog, black dog or a mixed. He or she wants nothing more than to be your friend.

On the subject of “mischievous” dogs, if you are interested in funny dogs, you may want to look into Boxer dogs or Boxer puppies. It’s been said Boxers are like clowns and love doing hilarious things. They couldn’t be funnier if they were in dog costumes. Pet stores, incidentally, sell some very cute dog costumes. Boxer dogs are wonderful pets for children and will play with them and love them unconditionally. Because of their large size, many think they can train Boxer puppies to become guard dogs. While they are faithful to their family, they don’t seem to have it in them to be guard dogs. Their nature is just too passive and loving.
